About this coffee
Smallholder producers in PaoZHangShan, a village in Simao, Pu’er, produce coffee at 1,000 to 1,200 meters above sea level. Their trees are mostly Catimor and are intercropped with macadamia nuts. Previously, most producers in the village sold their cherry to nearby wet mills or the middlemen. Now, they sell to Jianguo Zhang, who produces this Anaerobic Natural. Zhang’s goal is to produce high-quality specialty coffee that is environmentally sustainable and brings better prices to producers.
