Within Guji lies the woreda (district) of Uraga, widely regarded as its crown jewel. The coffees from Uraga are grown at breathtaking altitudes, reaching up to 2,350 meters above sea level. This extreme elevation slows the maturation of the coffee cherries, allowing them to develop an incredible density of complex sugars and vibrant acids. Grown in nutrient-rich, red volcanic soil, these beans possess an immense potential for aromatic intensity and flavour clarity.

This coffee is from approximately 650 smallholder farmers in the kebele (village) of Haro Adama. These families cultivate their "garden coffee" on small plots of land, often just a few hectares, where coffee trees grow in harmony with other subsistence crops. They deliver perfectly ripe, red cherries to the local Haro Adama washing station, which serves as a central hub for quality control and processing. And this particular lot is designated Grade 1 (G1), the highest quality classification in Ethiopia.

The cherries are first de-pulped. And then fermented underwater for 36-48 hours with the cherries' sticky mucilage intacted.  Sugar contents are breaking down and transfer into result of bright acidity and clean finish.

In the cup, the coffee showcased profound jasmine florals and bright bergamot and lemon zest notes, while developing a sweet foundation of white peach and a lingering honey finish. The result is a cup that is exceptionally clean, vibrant, and expressive—a true taste of the Guji highlands.
